Dear Friends,
Just wanted to let you all know that I’m feeling much better now and am starting to get out and about with Eliot. I have some minor ongoing health issues, but thankfully all is continuing to improve. A huge thank you to all who brought meals and came to visit. It was so helpful, and everyone seemed to show up with just what I wanted at the time!
Although we would never turn them down, meals are no longer essential and you don’t need to schedule through Irene anymore if you want to bring us something. Also, we love to show off our wonderful little guy, so if you want to come by just to visit and goo goo at the baby, please call. Calls are welcome between 10am and 7pm.
If you can stand a proud mommy bragging about her gorgeous genius child and want to be put on an e-mail list for occasional baby updates and photos, let me know.
Eliot continues to be a joy. He wakes up smiling, cooing, and laughing every morning. He is 7 ½ weeks old now and weighed 11 lb, 2 oz at his 6 week check up. Paul is nuts about his little boy and it’s a lot of fun to see him turn into a babbling fool around him.
We hope all is well with all of you. Thanks for letting us share our little miracle with you.

Eliot is just past three months old now, and we are all doing well. He is learning new tricks every day. Just yesterday he learned how to squeal, a delightful high pitched noise always accompanied by a giant grin. Once he figured it out, he practiced over and over. I wish I could put sounds on the web site; it’s so cute! Meanwhile, here are some new photos, all from within the last month or so.

9/6/05 He wore his special DyeHearts tie-dye (thanks Mitch!) to his first birth as “midwife’s assistant”. He was very well behaved and had a nice nap in this laundry basket. Later he welcomed his new playmate, Jude Xavier. Congratulations Laurie and family!
Eliot’s friend Joyce gave him this bunny, the first toy he’s shown any interest in, and he’s crazy about it!
Daddy always gets the best smiles from his son!
